Myth # 12: Women have rape fantasies. That means they want to be raped.

Do women have rape fantasies? Yes. It’s normal! It’s even normal for a rape survivor to have rape fantasies. Does that mean that women want to be raped? No! Why? Well, for one thing, the rape fantasy isn’t anything like an actual rape. You see, if it’s the woman’s fantasy, she’s the one who’s in control. She can pick the time, location, people involved, what’s said, what’s done, the sounds, the smells, the lack of pain involved... most importantly, she can control when it stops.
