Tough Guise (5/9 and 6/9)

Again, I’m grouping two segments together. Section 5 simply restates the point made previously but I’ve included it for continuity. More important is the discussion in section 6 concerning sexualized violence. Nowhere is the connection between sex and violence seen better than in the horror genre. Because of this linking of sexual arousal with violent acts, it becomes hardwired in our brains to expect both at the same time. Is that healthy? No! And it also shows why rape is an act of power and control rather than sex.
