Corrective Rape

Depending on the source, South Africa has either the highest number of reported rapes, or one of the highest, in the entire world. Considering the fact that Cape Town, South Africa is generally referred to as “Rape Town,” I tend to believe the former. I thought that was bad enough until I learned about corrective rape. Corrective rape is perpetrated against South African lesbians in order to “fix" them.

How crazy is this?!

1) Yeah, like women are really going to want to have sex with men after being raped... by a man.

2) For people who think that homosexuality is a choice.... What woman in South Africa would actually choose to be a lesbian when lesbians are being specifically targeted for rape and, in some cases, murder?
