Myth Buster!
Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 9:56AM Myth # 6 Most women react hysterically to rape.
And if they don’t then they weren’t raped, right? Wrong! Remember that since rape is about power and control, the women who were attacked have been robbed of their power. If that happened to you, would you want to show “weakness” by breaking down emotionally? No way. All of the feelings typically erupt when the victim is safe and alone.

rape victims dont usually in the people i know spread it around or talk about it. they usually keep it to themselves and there best friends why? because alot op people my say it was the way she dressed or the parents dont believe it and the family member or whoever continues
Just because a woman or girl does not act hysterical during or after they are raped does not mean they were'nt. And if that happened to me i would not show them that im weak because they're gonna think they have total control over you and that your giving them the will power to rape you. Most woman do act hysterical because thats the first thing that they think of is showing weakness because they may think if they asked there raper to stop or not rape them that they will listen because they're in an emotional estate hoping that they care. But thats not the case in every situation. Some woman fight back but it may invoke they're rappest which could end up worse.
